Director - Operational Excellence

Job Introduction

The Director - Operational Excellence is responsible for significantly improving the customer experience and increasing customer retention.


Role Responsibility

  • Analyze current-state processes & implementing future-state processes
  • Analyze end-to-end systems and data to understand drivers of customer retention.
  • Analyze systems to determine root cause & implement solutions for prevention / mitigation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional business partners to provide analytics driven insights and implement solutions
  • Apply quantitative methods to drive decisions
  • Develop, implement and report on KPIs providing analysis, tracking trends and creating recommendations to support Operations goals
  • This position is a very hands-on role that delivers tangible results for the company.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • 7-10 years of experience in process improvement, systems design and data analysis
  • Process Management: Experience in utilizing Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to drive process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills required to quickly recognize issues and opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
  • System root cause analysis & prevention / mitigation
  • Ability to learn and understand multiple, complex systems; understand and manage project risks and the revenue impacts.
  • Six Sigma Black Belts strongly preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple large, complex projects concurrently.
  • Ability to develop and positively influence key, strategic position holders across locations and functions
  • Proven experience to drive results through cross-functional teams holding others accountable for results.
  • Strong customer orientation and empathy.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills.

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
